Back in 2021 I created a track and as ever I got stuck for a song title. I looked up and on my wall was one of my favourite Rap songs ever, Passin Me By from The Pharcyde. So I took the name but as my track had a haunting female vocal I twisted it to Passing Me Bye.

Over the next 2 years or so I searched for the perfect vocalist for the track thinking it needed a Florence and the Machine type vocal but after a while I gave up as the track was strong enough to stand on its own and one day I'd give it a full release. Then Deep on the Mic did an amazing job with Hi Hello so i challenged him to come up with something for Passing Me Bye. I told him how the title came about and the tone of the song and how it could be interpreted as the classic "guy looking back" meme but this time it's his ex-girlfriend who caused loads of issues and he's looking back like "she keeps on passing me.... Bye!!". With that Deep went away for a few months only to come back with a change of tone for the song and something real deep and filled with raw emotion. His performance had a simmering anger and yet also filled with confusion and love. He said the music lit a fire inside of him and he just had to let it burn and burn it did.
